Hardened bar in one of dead-bolts
| |
One more widespread way of break-in locks is sawing dead-bolts. An evident minus of this method (and on the other hand a plus for the flat owner) is noise inevitably appearing when using a hack-saw, saw and other destroying tools. That is why, even a little increase in time spent by a burglar for the process essentially raises chances of interrupting him by somebody.
Using of a hardened steel bar at least in one of dead-bolts, especcially in models with a reinforced dead-bolt (diameter of bolts is more than 15mm), raises the burglary-resistance of a door many times. Anti-sawing protection is basic and is present in all locks of the BORDER trade mark.
