One of the most important points responsible for work of a lock is placed on the inner side of a dead-bolt (bar) in the place of a stand fixing. This stand fixes the levers, when the stand is broken the lever mechanism falls to pieces and can't hold the dead-bolt in a closed position. The stand is placed inside a lock case, that is why burglars have to reach it from the outer side of the door by means of drilling out several obstacles: door leaf, armour plate or armoured case cover, lock case. The armour plate is placed directly on the lock case in the place of the stand projection and serves for protection of the inside lock mechanism against drilling.

Unlike "ordinary" armour plates the original BORDER armour plate protects not only the lever mechanism in the lock case, but serves as additional protection against opening with a "svertysh" (malefactors will need much more time to take away the plate or to dill out the keyway).

For special protection you can also use the armoured case cover BORDER which covers the whole lock case. It is made of manganese steel Ц85. This steel is considered to be one of the strongest - it is used in flak jackets, armoured cars, etc. The steel stands the Kalashnikov gun shot!
